+HSA was commissioned to upgrade the existing HVAC system in the gymnasium and replace the existing bleachers. Strategic design allowed the scope to include enlarging the existing concessions area, replacing the entry storefront, and replacing the lobby quarry tile. 

 

The original wooden bleachers were still in use in the gymnasium and needed replacing. +HSA designed new bleachers for the gymnasium and, in doing so, brought them up to the current Florida Building and Life Safety Code. New equipment storage rooms were added in the gymnasium, increasing the inadequate amount of storage in the gymnasium and providing observation platforms for staff and coaches. The existing concessions booth was more than doubled in size and the triangular space was eliminated; a new, more functional concessions booth was created.
