+HSA was commissioned to develop a new law office space for a small firm in Tallahassee that was moving into a recently completed open shell building.

 

The business model of this firm was fresh, open, and dynamic;  they desired that the space reflect this attitude and service model of their firm.

 

Offices are organized around a central service area housing accessible copy, document processing, and filing services. Everyone has an office as needed, but communication can be spontaneous, with little to no effort to come together to meet, strategize, and service their clients.

 

A loft look was achieved with an open structure where it allowed vaulted spaces and where the roof of the facility lowers for a mechanic MEP court above. The structure is expressed and detailed to show the bar joists and roof structure along with MEP services and elements.

 

Open, spontaneous, and purposeful in their business model -  the space reflects these attitudes, projecting a message to clients, adversaries, potential employees, and others visiting the space that this is not your father’s law office.
